The "Big Read" is being showcased at Wheaton Interim this month. The Wheaton Adult Book Club will be reading and discussing Denaw Mengestu's inspiring work on the Ethiopian immigrant experience, "The Beautiful Things That Heaven Bears," on Tuesday May 15, 2018 at 11 am. Contemporary Conversations at the Silver Spring Library on Saturday June 9, 2018 at 7:30 pm will feature an evening with the author. Registration online is required.
Wheaton Library Advisory Committee
The Wheaton LAC will meet on Monday May 14, 2018 at 7:30 pm. New officers will be elected for 2018-2019. The Library Advisory Committee provides community suggestions and input on library materials, facilities, programs and services.
New Building Update
The tower crane has come down and the framing is up. Construction is continuing on the new Wheaton Library and Community Recreation Center. Exterior walls and roofing are being worked on over the next month.
