Programs for September 2018
Summer Read and Learn concluded on September 9, 2018. This has been a successful summer for Wheaton. We have had over 350 participants in this years Summer Reading program. This fall the Wheaton Interim will continue with regular children's programming on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Pajama storytime is at 6:30 PM on Mondays, toddler storytime is at 10:30 AM on Tuesdays, and is Ms. Jan will continue her Me and You-kelele on Thursdays at 4:00 PM.
SCORE will continue small business counseling on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Wheaton Library Advisory Committee
The first Library Advisory Committee of 2018-2019 will be held on Monday September 17, 2018 at 7:30 PM in the Wheaton Volunteer Rescue Squad conference room. There will be two new co-chairs for 2018-2019. The meetings will focus on community input and the new library community recreation center, MCPL materials, programs and services at the Wheaton Interim library and suggestions for the future.
New Building Update
The Wheaton Library and Community Recreation Center now has large glass windows looking out from the library onto Arcola Avenue. The roofing is well underway. Interior framing is in progress.
