What's New at the Wheaton Interim
Programs
Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer will be presenting a special Sing to Your Baby program on Sunday October 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM. The program is open and free to the public. Tickets will be handed out 30 minutes before the program to the first 50 attendees. This program is generously supported by the Friends of the Library, Montgomery County.
Regularly scheduled children's programs for October 2018 include Monday and Wednesday morning building block time, 9:30-11:30 AM; Monday evening pajama storytime 6:30 PM; Tuesday morning toddler story time 10:30 AM; and Me and You-kulele on Thursdays at 4 PM.
Adult programs include SCORE small business counseling Wednesdays 10:00-2:00 PM and Saturdays 11:00-3:00 PM. The monthly book discussion on Tuesday October 16th at 11 AM will be reading and discussing Thornton Wilder's The Bridge of San Luis Rey. The monthly e-materials app and e-reader workshop is also held on the third Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 2:00 PM.
Library Advisory Committee
The next Wheaton Library Advisory Committee will be held on Monday October 15, 2018 at 7:30 PM. Suggestions for increasing membership and library services will be discussed.
New Building Update
The model for the fiberglass phenolic panel colors is in place. Preparation is being done to the exterior walls.
Interior work on the new library is progressing. Electrical and mechanical HVAC systems are being installed. Drywall is beginning to be placed in the library workroom area.
